What I'm Loving: April 2018

It's been a hot minute since I've done a "what I'm loving" blog post, but I'm bringing them back as a monthly series! Each month I'll be sharing with you guys what I'm wearing, listening to, watching, eating/drinking, reading, and doing. I hope that you share what you're loving in the comments so I can see what you guys like!

Wearing: Madewell Whisper Cotton V-Necks
Madewell Whisper Cotton V-Necks have been my favorite shirts to wear! I have it in navy, coral, and light blue and I wear at least one of them every week. They are great for layering, they are great for hot weather (they're cotton, so they're breathable!), and they are casual without looking frumpy. I cannot recommend them enough! 

Listening: The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Podcast
I've been binging Gary Vee youtube videos and Lauryn was on one of his episodes a while back. That sent me into a tailspin of online-stalking that culminated with me reading a bunch of her blog posts and listening to a ton of her podcast episodes. A new post is coming in a couple weeks about podcasts I listen to, so you'll hear more about this podcast there. 

Watching: Sell it Like Serhant
Sell it Like Serhant was a surprise hit for me. I've watched Ryan Serhant on MDLNY for years now and knew that him and Fredrik were getting stand alone shows. Fredrik and Bethenny was a little bit of a letdown for me, and I thought that this was going to be the same, but it isn't. It's like Bar Rescue but instead of rescuing bars he's teaching sales people how to sell. Maybe that wasn't the best analogy, but this show is fantastic. Could not recommend it more. Go watch it!

Eating: Port of Subs
Super weird, but I've been so into it. For the uninitiated, it's like a Subway, but better! There's one in the student union at school and I've probably eaten there once a week for the past month. I get the 16 (chicken, pepper jack, and pepperoni) on wheat bread with ranch, peppers, olives, cucumbers, spinach, tomato, and onion with shakers (oil, vinegar, salt, oregano). It is definitely not the healthiest, but it is addicting. 

Drinking: Iced Coffee
It's finally spring in Reno, which means that it's time for me to switch out my hot americanos for some iced coffee! I'm doing a post about warm weather starbucks drinks that should be up sometime this month, but my typical order is some sort of coffee based (iced americano, iced coffee, or cold brew) with coconut milk and maybe a couple pumps of classic or a packet of stevia. 

Reading: Bon Appetit
I got a subscription to Bon Appetit through T-mobile tuesdays sometime last year and I love it. I've read each issue thoroughly and I've enjoyed every second of it. I read a lot of books, but there's something about a magazine that is so enjoyable, especially if I'm poolside or at a cafe with a cup of coffee. I like this magazine over others because it is thoughtfully curated with pictures and recipes and each magazine reads cohesively, which is sometimes not the case for other magazines. 

Doing: Working Out
There's a post going up 5/7 that's talking more in depth about this, but working out has become such a love of mine this month. I've never been big into exercising, but I've been going at least twice a week (usually it's 3-4 days) and I've noticed a big difference in how I feel, how I sleep, and how alert I am. It's absolutely crazy how much it has changed me in such a short period of time.
