Let's Talk About Partying

Hey guys!
I was just going through my blog posts and I came to the realization that I haven't been sharing my youtube videos on my blog like I usually do, so the next few posts will probably consist mostly about me sharing videos that went up a week or two ago.

This video is really important because it talks about partying. In high school and college, partying seems like the "cool" thing to do, but I think that you can have just as much fun not partying as well. You can watch the video if you want to hear everything in depth, but if not I'll give the gist of it here!

For me personally I'm not a huge partier. When I do go out, I tend to go to friends houses and places where I know most of the people. Huge frat parties are just not my thing.

I understand that a lot of people want to party, and I think that's fine. I would rather see people partying safely as teenagers and young adults and getting it out of their system than being alcohol or drug dependent for life. I know my viewpoint is probably not the same as most people, but I think that partying (when done safely) isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Okay, so now let's talk about safety. I would say first, especially if you're a female, watch your drink. It doesn't happen often, but things can get slipped in and you can be roofied and drugged. Always make your own drink or open your own cans and bottles, keep your hand over your drink when you're not drinking from it to prevent someone from adding something to it, and never leave it unattended. Also for everyone, go in a group. It's a lot safer and if you end up losing control, you know you'll have people looking out for you. Lastly, never, ever, drink and drive. It is so dangerous not only for you, but for everyone else on the road when you're impaired.

I hope that this video was informative or helpful for some of you. I went to a very good high school where people were smart and all of that stuff, but lots of my friends are making really stupid, unsafe decisions and I want to make sure that you guys don't do that. Let me know in the comments what other safety or partying tips you have, and don't forget to subscribe to my youtube channel (click here) for more!

P.S. Haha as I'm proofreading and posting this, I'm also getting ready to go out tonight! I want to emphasize that it's a personal decision to go out, and there's not a right or wrong thing! Just make good choices and be safe :)

  1. Useful tips! My friend got drugged once by her drink even when she had her girls watching out for her, totally scary :( good thing nothing happened to her but still! lesson learned.

  2. that is so scary! it's so sad that us girls have to be so careful and that people would try to drug us.
