My Week On Instagram #6

Is anyone else really proud of how I've been keeping up with these posts? Well, this is my sixth consecutive week of posting "My Week On Instagram" posts, so you know the drill! If you're new, these posts just provide a little BTS on my Instagram pictures, and you can see all the previous ones here! So let's get started!

Tuesday 11/24

It's pretty rare that I do a birthday post on my Instagram because I either totally forget to post something or because they don't have an Instagram and I don't want to be "that girl." This picture was really funny, though, because it was originally a picture with three people (my friend Salamander was on my right), but I cropped it like this because I didn't have any pictures of me and Kalyn that we both liked! That's so bizarre because we've been friends for over five years, but it's true! I was actually texting her on Monday a lot, like "holy cow I can't find any pictures of us!" and she didn't want me posting a dorky middle school picture (I didn't want to post that either!), and she agreed that this was a nice picture, so that's why I posted it! We did promise to take a lot of nice pictures when we're back in Hawaii in December so this won't happen again!

Wednesday 11/25:

I've had this picture for a while now, and have been playing around with different filters to make it look as dramatic as possible. I decided to post it on Wednesday because I wanted something in color to post because I have a cute family picture that's black and white that I wanted to post on Thursday for Thanksgiving and I didn't want too many black and white pictures in a row. That's such a shallow and superficial reason to post a picture, but I really liked this picture and the way that it went along with my feed, so it's all good!

Thursday 11/26: THANKSGIVING!
I wanted to post a family picture for Thanksgiving because for me, family is the thing that I am most thankful for in my life. I already knew that this was the picture I wanted to post because I don't have very many family pictures with all five of us, and the other options had either already been posted or included other people that I didn't necessarily want in my photo. Like I said in my caption, I wasn't home this Thanksgiving and neither was my brother, so it was a very different experience for all of us.

Friday 11/27
Friday was freezing cold! This was another day when I wanted to post something, but didn't know what to post! I decided on this picture because it went with my instagram theme pretty well, and also helped illustrate just how freezing it was!

Saturday 11/28:
On Saturday I went to the mountains with my friends to go sledding. I took this selife there because I really liked the beanie and my makeup and all that stuff!

...And that's it for this week! I hope that you guys enjoyed this post! I really like taking some time to reflect on my instagram posts for you guys because I think that it's funny realizing that sometimes I post things for my "feed" and how ridiculous that sounds! Sorry this post didn't go up on Monday like I wanted it to, but I wanted to get that vlogmas post up before this because that's more time sensitive. But speaking of Vlogmas, make sure you check out my youtube channel to check out my daily December vlogs!

Vlogmas?

Hey guys!
Tomorrow is the first day of December, and I know a lot of you are curious whether or not I'm doing Vlogmas this year. I've been going back and forth a lot, but I filmed a video with my decision!

Top 5 Tips To Save Money Christmas Shopping!

Hi guys!
I like to consider myself a "sport shopper." I always search for the best deal, I do my research well in advance, and I try to save money whenever possible. I thought that today I'd share five of my top tips to save money Christmas shopping because I know a lot of people are searching for presents, but are on a budget!

1) Cash Back Programs
The two that I use and will be talking about are Ebates and Macy's Thanks for Sharing although I'm sure that there are others! The perks of programs like these are that you get money back! Ebates pays you cash and Macy's puts the amount on a Macy's gift card, which is pretty great! Here's a little more info on the two programs.

  • Ebates: Ebates is great because it lets you shop on lots of different websites and will give you a percentage back. This could range anywhere from 1% all the way up to 10% or even higher! They pay through Paypal quarterly as long as you reach a $5 minimum. I have an afffiliate link, so you can get a $10 sign up bonus using this link!
  • Macy's: This is only applicable if you have a Macy's credit card! You can pay $25 to join Thanks For Sharing and you'll earn 10% back on all your purchases with your Macy's credit card at Macy's or Macys.com through December! If you do the math, you'll need to spend over $250 to make this a worthwhile investment. My family does it every year because we do a lot of holiday shopping at Macy's, but that's a decision you'll need to make for yourself.
2) Coupons!
Online: I always like to research coupons when I'm online shopping because sometimes there are codes that aren't well publicized and you can end up saving a lot of money! RetailMeNot is what I personally use!
In Store: Also, make sure that you bring coupons with you when you go shopping! For example, Bath and Body Works always has coupons, so go through your email and make sure you print out a couple before going to the mall just in case you end up buying something from there!

3) Make A Spreadsheet
This is super helpful because it keeps you aware of who you still need to shop for and who you already got gifts for so you don't overlook anyone or get anyone two presents! One my spreadsheet my columns are "person," "item," "cost," "notes," and I have a separate column that's a sum of all the costs. Just planning and being aware of your spending will help keep your costs down because you know the big picture of your spending.

4) Cash is King
If you are one of those people that goes crazy with the spending when you use a credit card, try paying in only cash! This sounds crazy, but the logic behind it is that physically seeing what you're spending will make you more aware of it and will keep you from spending money you don't want to.

5) Beware of "Extra Costs"
The biggest "extra cost" that kills me every single time is shipping. Obviously I live in Hawaii, so shipping there would be more expensive than if you live in the continental United States. Be aware of these extra costs and try to work around them. One way is to search for coupon codes for free shipping, order from one place so you're only paying one shipping cost, or try to meet minimum for free shipping.

I hope that these tips help you save money this year! If you have any other tips, let me know in the comments! Also, I'm definitely doing Vlogmas this year, so make sure you're subscribed to my youtube channel!

Taupe and Berry Makeup of the Day

Hey guys!
I wanted to do another makeup of the day post for you because I wore this makeup out shopping the other day and I really liked the way that it looked and photographed! I have actually never shared this makeup look with you before, so I thought it'd be fun because this is a more "fall/winter" makeup look than I've done before!

Face:
I used NARS Creamy Concealer on my blemishes. As usual, I filled in my brows first with my NYX Eyebrow pencil and then with MAC Espresso eye shadow and an angled brush. I also used Covergirl Sophisticated Sable blush on my cheeks!

Eyes:
I used my Vice 3 palette for this look, but you could definitely use similar colors as that palette's sold out. I started by taking a light taupe all over my lid to the crease, blending it out. I then took a similar taupe in a deeper shade and then concentrated that towards the lashline, creating a gradient effect. I finished by smudging some black eyeshadow as "eyeliner" on my upper and lower lashlines. For mascara I used Covergirl Flamed Out under my waterproof Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara

Lips:
Okay, this is the exciting part! I started by taking my favorite lip liner ever (Nutmeg by Jordana) and lining my lips and filling them in. This lip liner is a bit drying, though, so I wanted to layer a color over it. I chose my Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm in Berry Twist because it's pretty hydrating and added a pinkish tone.

Let me know what you think of this makeup look in the comments below, and let me know what your go to look is in the fall! Also, check out my tumblr because I've been using it a ton lately to answer all of your questions!

Workout Bros Theme Party Outfit

Hey guys!
So on Saturday night I went out to a theme party. The theme was technically "yoga hoes and workout bros," but I don't like that name, so I'm gonna call it a "workout bros" party because girls can be bros too, right? I thought I'd do a quick OOTD because I literally just threw this on and ran out of the house and was somewhat in theme. Sorry about the bad pictures, it was nighttime so there wasn't any natural light, and I had to take all the pics myself!

Shoes: Target (buy it here!)
I wore a pair of slip on sneakers because they're really comfortable and they matched the "yoga" theme because they're not as athletic looking as like Nikes or actual running/tennis shoes are.

Leggings: Old Navy (buy it here!)
These aren't workout leggings, but they were really comfortable and warm! I was walking to the party, so I needed something so I wouldn't freeze to death, and these also look really casual and cute!

Sports Bra:
I decided to wear a sports bra instead of a normal shirt because it gave a better pop of color and I knew I was going to wear my jacket the whole night. My sports bra is from Old Navy, but I think that it's sold out.

Jacket: HM (buy here)
This is not an athletic jacket at all, but it's somewhat "athleisure" so it worked! I left it half zipped, so my sports bra was showing, but it was still pretty covered.

I really love this party theme because I can dress comfortably and I don't have to worry about what I'm wearing at all! Let me know in the comments what you favorite type of theme parties are, and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin for more!

5 Things I'm Thankful For in 2015

Hey guys!
Last year I did a post called "10 Things I'm Thankful for this Thanksgiving," and I wanted to do a similar post this year! This is five things instead of ten, but that's because everything I said in the last post is also really applicable this year as well! I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving, so here we go!

1) Family
I feel like this is number one on most people's list. But this year I've really realized what a large role family plays in my life. I sort of moved out when I moved out of state for college, and my brother is in Japan until June 2016, and I think that everyone in my family has had to prioritize our relationships over everything else in our life. We have all made such an effort to keep in touch, and that just makes me so happy because while I facetime my parents at least every other day, I know people that call their parents maybe once a month at the most. I don't think I could live like that, and I'm just so happy to have such a secure support network in my family.

2) Health
This is another repeat from last year's post, but it was worth mentioning again. We recently had a health scare in my family and while everything ended up fine, it's incredibly scary and mind blowing to realize how everything can change in an instant. Without your health and your body, it's really hard to do what you want to do in life, and that's something I'm realizing more and more as I get older.

A photo posted by SIENNA ☄ (@miss_sienna) on

3) New Experiences
This year has been full of new experiences for me. I've experienced my first real fall and winter away from home, I've flown by myself for the first time, I've started at a new school, and so much more! I'm so thankful for all these new experiences because they have really helped me grow. I feel so much more independent and grown up now, and I've learned to trust myself, try new things, and learn every single day. Life without new experiences would be quite boring, and this year has seriously been anything but boring for me!

A photo posted by SIENNA ☄ (@miss_sienna) on

4) Friends
This kind of goes along with what I said during my paragraph about family. I have constantly been reminding myself to prioritize my friends because it is really hard to keep friendships strong when you're not seeing your friends every day at school, like in high school. I think that I've done a really good job of trying to keep in touch with my friends from home, but I've also realized that friendship is a two way street and there are definitely people I've lost touch with because they don't respond when I try to reach out.

5) Security
This might seem odd to include on my list, but security is something that I've been valuing more and more. And this isn't personal security, but just security in life. I have never had to worry about not being able to afford what I need, I've never gone to bed hungry, and I've never had to worry about things that most of us think of as "necessities" like food, clothing, water, and shelter. I've been pretty sheltered my whole life going to a private school for elementary, middle, and high school, but I've met people that have come from different backgrounds here in college, and it's made me so thankful for everything that I have.

I hope that you guys all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that you had time to reflect on what you're thankful for this year before heading off to those Black Friday sales! Let me know in the comments what things you're thankful for this year, and also let me know if you want me to do Vlogmas this year!

Should You Go To College or Defer?

Hey guys!
Another college type post today because we are in the midst of the application period and I wanted to cover some really important topics with you! I went through all of this last year when I was applying to college, so I have lots of advice to share and if you have personal questions you'd like me to answer, feel free to leave them below, ask me anonymously on tumblr, or tweet me!

So today we're talking about whether you should go to college straight out of high school or if you should defer for a year. This kind of assumes that you are going to college, which is a whole other topic in and of itself that I'll write about later. I know people that have done both and there are definitely ups and downs to each.

I think the first thing to consider is where you are in your life. For me, I knew pretty much from sophomore year what I wanted to major in and what I wanted to do with my life. College straight after high school was the obvious choice for me because I wanted to learn more and I knew that was the next best step for me. Not everyone's like that, though, and I totally get that. If you're unsure of what you want to do with your life or your struggling to find yourself and your purpose, I think that deferring could be really good. One of my friends actually deferred from college to spend a few months living alone in the wilderness. Is this an extreme version of deferral? Absolutely. But it's allowing him to get in touch with himself and that's what's important.

If you truly believe spending time away from the education system will rejuvenate you and will help you find your calling, defer from college! At the same time, don't use a deferral as a chance to slack. Use it to travel, get a job, experience new things and new cultures instead.

At the same time, don't go to college just because that's what society says you should do. I am honestly loving my college classes and there's not too many people that can say that. I can't deal with people who don't try during classes, skip classes regularly, and are ungrateful about it. There are so many successful people that have dropped out of college or have not gone to college at all! I don't believe that going to college will make you successful, but I think that it does help you get a conventional job easier.

You know yourself best, and going to college is a decision that you need to make for yourself. There was never a doubt about me going to college and it was always something I felt strongly about doing, but if you feel differently, that's fine. At the end of the day, you need to do what's best for you regardless of what others or society tells you.

I hope that this was interesting or helpful for you! If you have any other thoughts or advice about this, leave it in a comment so everyone else can see it! Also, don't forget to follow my blog because there may or may not be a giveaway in the near future!

College Day In My Life

Hey guys!
I recently did a Weekend in My Life video, so I thought that I'd do a normal day in my life one. This video is short and not super interesting, but keep in mind that I was in class for 5-6 hours that day and I had hours of school work on top of that after I finished. My schedule varies depending on the day of the week (fyi it's a monday for this video), so I can definitely do another one on a different day if you'd like to see that!

I hope you enjoyed this video! If you did, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel to help support me! Also, let me know what other videos you'd like to see! I'm trying to stay away from makeup tutorials until I go back to Hawaii in December and I can use my DSLR and have nice lighting and all that, but everything else is on the table! Haha sorry this part is getting kind of long, but I want to do a holiday giveaway, so make sure you're following this blog on Bloglovin!

My Week On Instagram #5

Holy smokes guys! I have actually been really consistent with these posts and it's been over a month since my first one! So this is another My Week on Instagram post where I go through each of my instagram posts and tell you a little about what was going on at that moment and why I wanted to post it! If you haven't read the others, click here to see them all! Also, my instagram is @miss_sienna if you want to follow me!

Monday 11/16:
This picture was actually taken in October at one of the local parks downtown by the river. I honestly posted this because I wanted something to post, as stupid as that sounds. But really, the last picture before this was the one with me and my guy friend, which is great and I'm keeping it up there, but it's not the nicest quality picture, so I didn't want that to be the first one on my feed. That sounds really dumb and shallow, but we're keeping it real here! Also, I've been meaning to post this picture for a while because it's one of my favs!

Tuesday 11/17:
This picture was taken through my window in my room because the sunset was INSANE! I did end up filtering it to make the colors pop more and seem a little more true to life because my phone kind of washed it out a bit. This was the best sunset I've seen in Reno (although nothing can compare to the Hawaii sunsets), and I was so happy I had my window open so I could see it!

Thursday 11/19:

This is another throwback post because there's less than a month until I get to go back to Hawaii! This picture was actually taken in Reno in December last year when I was touring the college! Also, unrelated, but I miss these sunglasses because I broke them and had to get rid of them!

Saturday 11/21:
Saturday was really quite boring, but I had lots I needed to get done. I really wanted to post an artsy shot (haha how basic of me), so I snapped this. Let's be real here, I didn't just stage this shot, though. I drank all my coffee and read over 100 pages of Siddhartha as well!

Sunday 11/22:
This picture was posted the same day that I'm writing this, so I'm gonna use the present tense. I really didn't do much today because I was really busy trying to study for a huge chemistry test that I have on Tuesday. I really wanted a break (to read more about my study tips, check out this post), so I went on a little walk downtown to get a McFlurry. I am totally aware of how bad this is for me, but I was craving one, so I got it. I took this picture when I was walking back to my dorm at a random stoplight with crazy strangers and a dude that smelt like weed behind me. I thought it would end up really crazy and blurry, but it looked really nice, so I posted it! So, not many pictures were posted this week, but that's okay! I hope that you enjoyed this post, and if you like my "My Week on Instagram" posts, show your support by following me on bloglovin and letting me know in the comments!

Stay Alert When Studying

Hey guys!
I know a lot of you are going through midterms right about now, and so am I! I totally understand the struggle of having hours of homework and studying to do. Today, I'm sharing some of my tips for staying alert when studying! These tips probably won't work for you if you're studying in public, but if you study in your room like I do, then this will probably help a little!

1) Move
I find that I feel the most sluggish when I'm sitting down for hours doing homework. I like to take breaks in my homework and get up and move. For me, that's usually doing some handstands or doing some ballet warm ups just to get the blood moving. You can really do anything, though, you can walk around your room, do some jumping jacks, push ups, the options are endless! You just want to get your blood pumping again, so you can refocus on your next assignment.

2) Time
Sometimes you have projects that take forever, or you're studying for a test and you know you're going to be doing that for hours. I like to set a timer for 45 minutes and then take a 5-10 minute break once the timer goes off. During the break I can pee, get food/drinks, move a little, and then refocus once my little break is over.

3) Reward
This is the best way for me to get myself to do homework for a class that I'm not super into! I'll tell myself that I can have a piece of candy or that I can watch a tv show once I finish whatever it is that I need to do. That provides a little incentive that I need to push through and finish what I need to get done!

4) Music
This is going to totally depend on the type of person you are. For me, I like to listen to classical music when I'm reading because it helps me to stay present and remember what I'm reading. Personally, I am a huge Vivaldi fan so that's been my go to lately, but I totally get that music can be distracting for some people.

5) Sleep
Sometimes you're rightfully tired. It's not because you're trying to do a lot and are bored, but it's because you're physically exhausted. Your brain can't work as efficiently when you're sleep deprived, so if this is the case, it might be better to sleep for a little bit, and study once you're well rested.

I hope that these tips help a little bit! If you have your own tips that I haven't mentioned, leave them below because I'm sure others would love to read it! Also, don't forget to follow me on bloglovin! I'm thinking about doing a giveaway for my bloglovin followers soon :)

MAC Enchanted Eve Eye Compacts and Bags Online First Impressions

Hey guys!
I am back with another online first impressions! We're sticking with MAC because it's easier for me to go brand by brand, but this time we're talking about the Enchanted Eve Shadow Compacts and Enchanted Eye Bags. Once again, click on an image for more information about a product and to purchase!

Enchanted Eve Eyes
Each of the compacts comes with six shadows and a double sided brush. MAC lists the value of it as $44.80, but they retail for $39.50. This comes in three different shades: mauve, navy, and warm. I don't think that any of these palettes have any standout colors, and makeup enthusiasts will likely have dupes for these in their collection. These do look like amazing travel palettes, though, because you can go smokey or neutral with pretty much all of these palettes. I also think that the warm one would be a great gift for someone new to makeup!

Final Thoughts? Good for travelers and newbies!

Enchanted Eve Eye Bag
Each of these bags have a false lashes mascara, an angled brush, a fluidline, and a pro longwear paint pot. This also comes in three different shades smokey, neutral, and plum. The fluidline colors vary depending on the shade and the paint pots do as well, but the mascara, brush, and bag are the same. I really like the bag design this year, and I think that it's something people will actually use. I also am a huge fan of the fluidline formulation and the mascara as well, so I think that this would be a really nice gift. I really like this as a gift idea and I think that so far it's my favorite thing from their holiday collection.

Final Thoughts? Like this

I still have to do the lip and face products from the Enchanted Eve collection, so those are going to be coming really soon! Let me know in the comments what holiday collections you've been eyeing so I can do online first impressions on them for you!

Fear Of Being Alone

By reading this title, you're probably thinking this post has something to do with romance and being single for the rest of your life. That's not exactly what we're talking about today, though. Today's going to be focused on independence, dependency, loneliness, and personal growth. Sounds like a handful, right? Well, we better get started then!

First off, I think that fear of being alone or doing things alone plagues teenagers and young adults more than others. These are the people who have been dependent for most of their lives and getting to a point where you can do stuff alone is what becoming an adult is. Think of yourself right now. Would you get lunch in a school or college cafeteria by yourself? Would you go shopping alone? If you're thinking "hell no", that's fine! But that's why I'm writing this post. Since being in college, I've realized that while people think "hell yes, I'm a grown up now!" they're still not actually adults.

Doing things alone seems like such an obvious, easy, thing, but it really isn't for most people! A lot of people I know don't like to do things alone. Especially eating alone. People tend to blame this on "shyness" or "insecurity", which may be true to an extent, but I think there's a deeper issue. Today we're so connected with others whether it's in person or through social media that even when we're alone, we're not actually alone because we're texting someone else, snapchatting someone... Social media has made some people so incredibly socially awkward in person and society today has made some people so afraid of taking initiative and actually doing stuff.

Let's take an example from my personal life. The other day I walked through the downtown Reno to get to the Riverwalk because I wanted to check out some of the changing leaves and the river in some parks. I did that alone, and it was so worthwhile! It gave me some time to meditate, take pictures, de-stress, and connect back to nature and my inner-self. Would most people my age do that? OH HELL NO! I can picture the excuses like "oh, but it's so far" (aka laziness), "it's so dangerous" (lame excuse), "I don't know where it is" (that's why we have phones).

I'm not saying that if you can't bring yourself to eat alone there's something wrong with you. I'm just saying that we all need to be a little more introspective. If these fears are what's keeping you from living your life, it's time to do something about it. Push yourself a little more each day. Maybe first it's sitting at a table alone at lunch if you're friends have already eaten before you. Then the next day go exploring alone. Soon you'll feel comfortable and independent, which is what life's all about.

I have a gut feeling this post wasn't super helpful for most of you, and that's okay. If just one of you becomes inspired to take back your life and gain your independence, that will make me so happy. This is something that I'm working on myself, so there will be more posts and this will be an ongoing conversation between us! Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on this topic and if you have any other topics like this you'd like me to cover!

What's On My Desk?

Hi guys!
I made another What's On My Desk video because I wanted to share a little bit of my desk organization (or lack thereof) with you! I know that I showed an overview of my desk in my Dorm Tour (click here to watch), but I wanted to do a more in depth one because I switched a few things around since that video!

I hope that you enjoyed this video! If you did, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel! Also, let me know what other types of content you'd like to see in the comments! I'm thinking about doing vlogmas this year, so let me know if that's something you want to see!

Fall Orange Makeup of the Day

Hey guys!
I thought that I'd do another makeup of the day post because this was slightly different than my usual makeup look and I wanted to share! This makeup literally took less than 10 minutes to do, and looks really put together! I think it would be perfect for when you have no time before running out the door :)

lighting makes the lip color look very pinkish! I promise it's a very orange toned coral in person :)

Face:
I filled in my brows using my NYX eyebrow pencil and MAC Espresso eyeshadow as a brow powder. I didn't want to do a ton of face makeup, but I did use a little bit of NARS Creamy Concealer on a couple blemishes. Today I ended up wearing blush, which is quite a shocker because I very rarely wear blush! I used a little bit of my Covergirl Sophisticated Sable blush(the middle shade) on my cheeks to add a bit of glow.

Eyes:
I used a peachy color on my eyelids blending it into the crease. I used a Clinique shadow, but you could definitely use your blush to do the same thing and it'd look just as good! I also took a darker eyeshadow (Clinique Olive in my Martini) on an angled brush and smudged it on my upper and lower lashline as an eyeliner. I then layered my Covergirl Flamed Out mascara under my waterproof Covergirl Super Sizer mascara.

Lips:
This is where the pop of orange comes! I was going through my lipsticks and I realized that it's been a really long time since I've used my MAC Vegas Volt lipstick. I reviewed this years ago here, but it's kind of gotten pushed to the back since then. I really like this lipstick and I think that it's a really pretty bright fall color!

I hope that you enjoyed this makeup look! If you want a more natural Fall makeup look, you can also check out this look that I posted a little while ago! Let me know in the comments what your favorite lip colors are for the fall! I personally love cherry reds, bright oranges, and brown toned nudes!

What I Eat in a Day #2

Hi guys!
I got such great feedback from all of you after my first "What I Eat in a Day" video, so I thought that I'd do another one! If you haven't already seen the first video, you can click here to do so!

I really try to eat healthy whenever possible, but it's really hard when I eat at the dining hall pretty much every day and most of the food is boring and served every week. In general I try to eat a high carbohydrate diet because that's what works best for me and gives me the most energy! I filmed another video about the Freshman 15 that hasn't gone up yet, so subscribe to my channel to be notified when that gets posted!

My Week on Instagram #4

Hi guys!
Raise your hand if you've been waiting for this post! I have been so good about keeping up with these weekly instagram recaps, and I am so proud of myself! I've also been incredibly good about doing daily posts on my personal blog, so if you haven't been reading those, you can check it out here! Last week's "My Week on Instagram" post ended on a Sunday, so we're back to Monday! If you want to follow me on Instagram, my username is @miss_sienna

Monday 11/9:
This picture was actually an #ootd of what I wore on Sunday. I was really obsessed with this outfit because I rarely wear that sweater back in Hawaii, so I wanted to share it! It's also my very first mirror selfie, so that seems like a pretty big accomplishment for a blogger ;)

Monday Part 2:
Monday night it began to snow pretty heavily. This picture was taken before the storm really hit, but I like the vibe of it. Honestly, I filtered it pretty heavily. But I love the cool tones and the mystical aspect of it. It was also taken through my dorm window because it was too cold for me to go out to shoot!

Tuesday 11/10:
Tuesday was so magical! I woke up and it was beautiful and snowy outside. The walk to class was very scary because I was so worried about slipping and falling as some of the snow was starting to melt, but it seriously looked like such a winter wonderland.

Thursday 11/12:
This is not the greatest quality photo and is quite possibly the worst quality photo I've ever posted on my instagram, but I really liked it and it was a cute throwback. This was taken two summers ago at the mall after I convinced us all in to buying matching mirrored aviators (they were only like $4 from Forever 21). What you don't see is one of my guy friends that was with us who also bought the matching sunglasses, but I posted that picture a while ago.

Friday 11/13:
This is not my picture (I stole it from Tumblr), but I wanted to do a post about the Paris shootings and bombings. I got hella feisty on twitter about all of the #Prayfor____ tweets especially because I felt like there was a lot of miscommunication and straight up lies being spread. I wanted to post this also as a reminder that terrorism doesn't have a race or religion. It's so easy for people to be scared of certain people for what other members of their race has done. This is not fair, it is certainly discrimination, and needs to be stopped.

Sunday 11/15:
I felt like I hadn't posted much over the weekend, which is true, and I wanted to post something. Unfortunately this weekend was pretty chill except for a party I went to Saturday night. This picture was actually a screenshot from the guy I'm with's snapchat story, which kind of explains the crap quality of it, but I looked good and happy, so I decided to post it anyway. I did filter it, though, because we had really crazy red casts on our face because those twinkle lights were red.

I hope that you enjoyed this post! If you want more "My Week on Instagram" posts, show your support by following this blog on bloglovin or letting me know in the comments!
