Sub for Sub?

Hey guys!
I usually like to keep my posts very upbeat and happy, but I'm going to have a little rant today...

I completely understand that it's hard to get youtube subscribers. I'm only at 84 subbies and I've been doing it consistently for 6 months. What's inexcusable, to me, is people who comment on larger youtubers and say something along the lines of...

"Any small youtubers wanna sub for sub?"

HOLY COW YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!!!

I think that it's incredibly rude, and just annoying for people to ask for sub for sub because it takes away from the actual comments that mean something, it takes away from the content that the youtuber had spent a lot of time creating, and it also is taking advantage of someone else's fame.

Also, sub for sub never really works! If you are pretty much bribing people to sub to your channel, you're obviously not putting out good enough content. It's also unsustainable because if you want to be "big" and have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, you'd have to subscribe to a crazy amount of people!

I have no respect for people who take the easy way out or who try to cheat the system, and I totally urge you other youtubers not to spam videos with "sub for sub".

So that's the end of my little rant! If, by chance, you want to subscribe to my youtube channel, click here! Also let me know in the comments if this bothers you as much as it bothers me!

  2. I can understand your frustration. Unfortunately, "sub for sub" is basically the same thing as "great post, follow me on etc etc etc" here on blogger. Luckily YouTube has a feature where you can block the phrase "sub for sub" and it will automatically go to the spam box :P

  3. I agree! I only have 50 subs and people do it on mine too. I HATE when people comment on my video just asking to watch their video or sub to their page. I think its really rude.

  4. yes that's so true, but I feel like on youtube there's just a lot more spam than on blogs! and I'm definitely going to have to block a few phrases like that on my channel!!
