Mini Old Navy Haul!

Hey guys!
So I got a couple of things from Old Navy and I wanted to show them to you! I only got three things, so this post will be really quick! Let's get started.

I got this tank top! It's really cool because it is a burnout white tank top and it says "Fun. Fearless. Free." I thought that this would be fun to wear with a sports bra because I've been loving to live in my workout clothes lately or I think that this could also be a really cool beach coverup because its sheer, but not boring!

Next I got two pairs of slippers because they were 2 for $5. In Hawaii, we literally live in cheap slippers so I got a couple pairs from Old Navy. I got a chocolate brown one and a silver one because I thought that they'd match with any outfit I'd wear!

So that was my mini old navy haul! Leave suggestions for future posts in the comments because I'd love to hear what you guys want to see and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin!

Peach Makeup of the Day

Hi guys!
So I know that during the spring and summer people want to incorporate more color into their makeup looks. I thought that peach and corals would be a nice way to jazz up a neutral look, so that's what I did today!

I used Dr. Jart's BB cream mixed with a little of Benefit's sunbeam for a little glow. I applied a powder to set it, then contoured with a little powder bronzer and highlighted it with more sunbeam!

I primed with a champagne cream shadow. Then I applied a shimmery bronze all over the lid to the crease. I used a peach blush as a shadow and applied that around the perimeter to help with the blending. I took a cream colored shadow and applied it under the browbone. I blended it all together to get a really seamless look. Then I lined with a black liquid liner and applied 2 coats of mascara!

I wanted to go more nude, so I used MAC's To Catch A Sailor. It was limited edition, but it's a brown with gold frost.

So that was my makeup of the day! Let me know if you want more colorful looks in the comments and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin!

March 2014 Birchbox!

Hi guys!
So I got my birchbox yesterday so I thought I'd do a unboxing for you! I know that every single other birchbox subscriber gets their box like mid month, but living in the middle of the ocean, I get it a lot later. So this might not be that interesting, but let's get into this!

So in this box I got Jergens BB Body, which is a BB creme for your body. Just when you think the BB trend dies down, they go ahead and do this. But I am actually kind of interested to see if this is going to be like a body foundation type product or if its more or a tinted lotion. I also got Inka Eyeliner in Green Lagoon. It is a gorgeous spring green shade with some shimmer in it. I love this eyeliner shade and I'm so excited to try it out! Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper is the next product I got. I don't really have curly hair, but I have wavy hair, so I'm interested to see if this will work or not. Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume. This is going to be an interesting perfume to try because it only has one main ingredient and I don't really know how its going to smell. Lastly, I got Supergoop sunscreen. I am really excited for this one because I've heard wonders about supergoop, but I never bought it because its so expensive!

So I promise I'll review as many of these as I can! I am so happy with this box because the eyeliner is full sized and is worth $20, already double than what I paid! Let me know if you subscribe to birchbox and what you got in this moth's box in the comments!

Neon #NOTD

Hey guys!
So really quick nail of the day post today because I know that I've already reviewed both of these shades! I wanted to go neon and bright because it is spring break and why not go big and bold!

On my hands I'm wearing Reign in Spain by Color Club. It's a gorgeous coral neon shade and I would say that it's even a little more orange and a lot brighter than its translating in the picture! I did 2 coats to get it super opaque! I already reviewed this shade, so if you want to learn more about my thoughts on this shade, click here!

On my feet I'm wearing a gorgeous lilac color. It's also from Color Club and it's called Pardon my French. I only did one coat on my feet and it looks really good! It's not as neon as the first shade, but it is still really pretty! I also reviewed this, so check it out here!

Both of these shades are sold in the Wanderlust set from Color Club, which you can buy here! Let me know what colors you've been wearing on your nails lately in the comments!

My 8th Liebster Award!

Hi guys!
I have been nominated for another liebster award by Barbs from 300 Days of England! I absolutely love her blog and she is seriously one of the sweetest bloggers so check out her blog here.

The rules of the liebster award are...
- to link back to the blogger who nominated you
- to share 11 facts about yourself
- answer 11 questions from the person who nominated you
- tag people and leave them 11 questions!

But since this is my 8th, I'm going to do things a little differently! I'm not going to tag individuals, but I'll leave questions at the end of this post so everyone can do it! Let's get into it!

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Review!

Hi guys!
So I have a really quick review for you today! I've been going through my stash of mascara samples and I thought that I'd review Lights, Camera, Lashes! for you guys today!

So the wand is a normal bristle brush. It is thin and long and tapers to a tip at the end. I'm not sure if this is true with the normal sized mascaras, but I really like how the stopper in the tube removes a lot of the excess mascara so it doesn't get clumpy and gross on the lashes! This is a really black shade and is not waterproof.

My lashes aren't that great to start with, but I notice that this mascara is really good at length and separation. I can do a lot of coats without it getting clumpy, which I love and the wand is great at getting all of the little lashes too! This mascara also wears amazingly well because it won't flake or smudge like most non-waterproof mascaras do on me.

So I totally recommend this mascara because I love the way that it makes my lashes look! This mascara is a little pricey, and I don't know if I'll purchase the full sized one over something from the drugstore, but if you want to splurge on a mascara, this is a good one! Let me know in the comments if you have tried this mascara and what your thoughts are on it, and please like my facebook page because it is at a depressing 5 likes right now!

Drink For Pretty Skin! (#2014BloggerChallenge)

Hi guys!
Sorry this post is a day later than it was supposed to go up, but I had an insane amount of test (3 major ones!) and papers (2!) and applications (1) due this week so I didn't really have time to get this up sooner. But today I have post 6 of the 2014 Blogger Challenge! To see the other 5 posts, click the tab at the top of the page to see them all! This one is super fun because it is all about food, so let's get started!

I have been loving to eat healthier and drink smoothies and all that! If you follow my other blog you saw earlier last month I posted some recipes and some of my thoughts on fitspo and my favorite fitspiration! Well, today I'm going to share with you some of my favorite smoothies and juices that I've been making! One thing to know is that you want to balance your smoothies and juices. If you do 100% fruit, you will get a crap ton of sugar, which gives you energy, but also crashes rather quickly. You want to add some fiber or protein to help sustain you if you are going to use one of these as a meal, or eat something with it!

I already did a recipe on this on my other blog, but it's a juice with carrots, oranges, and celery!

This is probably my favorite smoothie and the one that I've been drinking the most! It's a banana, coconut water, frozen strawberries, and frozen blueberries. If I want more protein and fat, I'll add a spoonful of chia seeds! It's really yummy!

This is straight up kale juice. I do not recommend drinking it like this because it is nasty, but I have been taking a shot or two of kale juice every morning after drinking a glass of water and I think that it helps because kale has so many vitamins and antioxidants!

This one is so pretty and so yummy! I layered strawberry juice (it was a little strong by itself, so I combined it with coconut water) over orange juice! This one was insta worthy :D

This one can totally be your dessert! It's frozen banana, frozen strawberries, with a dash of water (or coconut water). It has the consistency of a milkshake and is a guilt free dessert!

So after incorporating these into my diet, I have noticed my skin clearing up and I haven't been breaking out as much as I have been previously! Let me know if you have had something similar happen to you when you clean up your eating! Also, let me know in the comments which one looks the best and if you try one out!

The Beauty Blogger TAG!

Hi guys!
So I saw Hope from Beauty and Bliss do this tag the other day and I really wanted to do it! It is a long post, so let's get started!

1) Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Somewhere in between! It's very wavy and has some texture, but it isn't straight or curly.

2) Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I don't dye it myself, but I really want to use a box dye and dye my hair red! But I'd never do it!

3) Do you wear the same style everyday or do you change it?
I tend to change it up, although the majority of my day to day looks recently have been sports bras, a loose top, and jeans.

4) Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do my own! I really don't like to spend money on manis. I'd rather get a massage or facial instead!

5) How often do you change your nail polish?
I try for every week, but it really varies depending on what I'm doing and my mood!

6) Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
It's really like summer year round here in Hawaii, but I do it all the time! Unless I'm too lazy to paint them.

7) How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
For a normal day maybe around 10-15 minutes, but if it's something fancy it can be around 45 minutes or even longer!

8) What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I do eyes first because then I get to cover the fallout with my foundation and concealer!

9) Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I collect! If something looks interesting, I'll buy it with the excuse of reviewing it for you guys!

10) How often do you wear falsies?
Maybe once a month at the most. I really don't like them because they are a pain in the butt to apply!

11) Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Never! I don't even wear foundation most days!

12) Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
I will when I'm home alone and doing a tutorial, but on the weekends I try to go makeup free so my skin can air out a little!

13) Will you leave the house without makeup?

14) How many high-end products do you have?
I have quite a few! Mostly MAC, but some bobbi brown, lancome, and estee lauder!

15) Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
I do it the night before because then I can sleep in a little later instead of choosing my outfit!

16) How often do you change your handbag?
Almost never! I have maybe 2 or 3 that I switch between, but then again, I use my backpack for school most times!

17) What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
I wake up at 5:35 on weekdays and around 7-8 on weekends, and I go to sleep around 9:30-10 most nights.

18) How often or when do you workout?
I've been doing yoga every day recently (just some basic at home stuff) but since my shoulder injury, I haven't really done "hardcore" workouts at all!

19) Left or right handed?

20) How tall are you?

21) Do you speak any foreign languages?
English is my native language and I'm taking spanish.

22) How many pets do you have?

23) How often are you on blogger?
Everyday! Multiple times a day!

24) Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Yes! On my blog (of course) and on most other peoples blogs too!

25) Do you keep a list of products to try as you see posts?

26) How did you come up with your blog name?
I have no idea! I was just playing around with words and I liked this combo!

27) What kind of camera do you use?
A sony cybershot, but I really want to get a better camera!

28) How often do you clean your house?

29) Favorite color?

30) Favorite drugstore/high end makeup brand?
Drugstore: Covergirl
High end: MAC

31) What are you doing for the rest of your day?
Going to bed!

So that was the beauty blogger tag! Please do this if you want to because I'd love to read your answers and don't forget to follow me for more updates!

Makeup Inspiration!

Hi guys!
So my last upload was a hair inspiration post, so check that out here, but today I'm going to do a makeup inspiration post! I love doing these posts because I get very into routines and ruts and I love going on pintrest and getting reinspired! So let's get started!

Saw this tutorial on pintrest and loved it! I think that the combo of the dark teal with berry is so chic! I think that this might seem like a winter or fall makeup look, but I think that the pop of color can help it transition into spring and summer! I personally wouldn't wear this out to school or work, but for a party or a night on the town, this would be so gorgeous!

Another one that I love! I really love apricot and copper shadows and I think that the shadow alone in this look is gorgeous! But what makes it better is that pop of glitter liner! I love glitter liner and I want to do more tutorials using my glitter liners!

I love smokey eyes and this one is just so gorgeous! I think that the gold/champagne in the inner corners make it look gorgeous and I love how there is a warm brown halo around the crease too! This is just such a gorgeous look for a date night or party!

So that was my makeup inspiration! I hope that it inspires you to switch up your makeup routine because I really want to incorporate more color and glitter like some of these looks! Don't forget to like my facebook page for more updates!

Hair Inspiration!

Hey guys!
So I was a little strapped on time so I didn't get to do a tutorial like I wanted to today, but I thought that it was time for another inspiration post! So I have my hair one for you today and my makeup one will go up tomorrow! Here we go!

I love this! I swear that Lauren Conrad is always so put together with her makeup, hair, and outfit and this is no exception! I really love this hair because it is really put together and nice, but doesn't look fussy or over the top. I also like her part in this because it's a little zig zag and I think that is so cool!

I love Diana Agron's hair! If my hair was thin and straight, then I would totally cut my hair like this because it is so edgy and amazing! But my hair is thick and wavy, so it would look kind of poofy and crazy if I did this!

I am actually thinking of cutting my hair like this into choppy medium length layers. I really like the messy look with this and since I have wavy hair to start with, I think that the haircut would match my texture!

So that was my hair inspiration! I might be a little off with my posts this week because it is my last week before spring break so I have tests and papers and all that jazz, but I will get some quality content up next week!

Beauty Scenario TAG!

1) You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
I honestly haven't found a holy grail high end foundation that I've loved yet, but if I had to choose one, I'd probably pick Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. My favorite drugstore foundation is Maybelline Fit Me Liquid Foundation.

2) You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
I would try motioning to the mouth to see if she picks up on the hints, but if she doesn't than I would tell her about it. If I think that if I was the interviewer, I would want to know, so it's only right for me to tell her!

3) You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?
A bright red! Something like OCC NSFW or Miranesse Glossy Kiss pencils in 02 Flirty Kiss. I think that a bright red lip can make you feel so beautiful and confident!

4) You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?
Can't really answer this one because I am still currently in my "teenage years!"

5) You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) cry in the chair or c) complain to the manager and demand a refund.
I think it depends on how bad the haircut is! If it looks pretty bad, I'll probably talk to the manager or the hairstylest so maybe c? But I'd never demand a refund for a haircut. If it's okay and I could live with it I'd probably choose choice a.

6) Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack?
I don't have a good "do it all palette" but I'd probably take my Skylark Snowkissed Cashmere palette because it has lots of dark medium and light colors with some fun colors like a cranberry and navy in it and it also has a shimmery highlight and a brush!

7) Your house has been robbed, but your beauty stash has been raided! What's the product you hope is safe?
My makeup brushes! I think that you can buy high end equivalents in the drugstore when you're trying to rebuild a collection, but high end brushes don't really have equivalents in the drugstore for the most part (I know real techniques and eco tools are great!). I just think that the feel of high end brushes are so much better than the drugstore ones I've tried and that it would be devastating if it was gone!

8) Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to some of theirs.
I feel like all of these answers are really awkward! I honestly would probably confront them about it in a nice way because the chances are that if they're being quiet about it, they either haven't noticed or are too embarrassed to mention it. But if I had to choose a letter I would choose a.

So that was the beauty scenario tag! I tag all of you to do this and I would love to see your answers to this tag! Let me know in the comments if you have any other tags that you'd like me to do and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin!

Dinner Party Outfit of the Night!

Hey guys!
So I have another outfit of the night for you guys today! I went to my friends birthday party at the Macaroni Grill on Saturday and I wanted to do a quick outfit of the day on it! They wanted us all to wear white, so I am obviously the one in the middle of the picture! Let's get started!

A lot of places don't make white dresses! I went to Forever 21 thinking they'd have a lot, but this was the only style they had! It's just a normal tank top dress with side paneling and a flowy bottom. I thought that the dress itself looked a little bland, so I added a belt at the waist to help break up all that white!

I went really simple with the jewelry! I wore my pink Jewelmint earrings and I also wore my gold birdcage bangle. I didn't want to wear a necklace because the dress had a higher neckline and I decided to go more girly with the accessories rather than edgy because the belt I wore made me think more country farmgirl rather than rock and roll chick.

I wore a really cute pair of white wedges with this outfit! I think that these were from payless and I know that they have different colors of this same style if you want to check it out!

So that was my outfit of the night! Let me know what you think of it and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin! Also, I don't know what the other girls are wearing, but I think the gold and black dress on the right is from nasty gal!

Semi Formal Dance Outfit of the Night!

Hey guys!
So I had a semi formal dance and dinner for school the other night and I thought I'd do an outfit of the day on it! I might also do a makeup and hair tutorial if you'd like it, so leave a comment below if you'd like to see that!

Sorry for the bad picture! It's iPhone quality!
You might have seen this dress in my dress haul that I posted a couple weeks ago! It's a really cool dress because its a black body con with white rectangles on it! I kind of used this dress as the inspiration for my jewelry as well. I bought this dress from LBDB!

I went with a geometrical theme because of the color blocking on the dress! My earrings are really cool because instead of hoops, they are parallelograms! The necklace is also really cool because they are white triangles on a silver chain. I'm really happy with the way that it turned out because I loved how the jewelry and dress had a cohesive theme! I got the jewelry from Claire's!

I got this bag a few years ago from Macy's I believe. It's just a silver sequin clutch!

I wore a pair of nude wedges with this dress because I liked how the nude shoes make my legs look longer!

That was my outfit of the night! So leave a comment below if you want hair or makeup tutorials on what I wore in this picture and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin!

Me Without Makeup Again!

Hey guys!
It's been a while since my last me without makeup post so I thought I'd do another one! If you haven't seen my me without makeup posts before, I do them periodically because I think that a lot of beauty gurus only show their "good side" with makeup and foundation and all that on, but I think that its rarer for people to post pictures without makeup. I am extremely freaked out to post this because my skin has been a lot more red than usual lately, but here we go!

So as you can tell, I have quite a bit of acne scarring on my cheeks and because of that, it makes me look a little red. I'm still looking for a miracle product to help with my hyperpigmentation and acne scarring, but I am yet to find one! I also really need to pluck my eyebrows, but I have been so lazy with that lately! It's kind of crazy because I am a huge stickler for like nice and neat eyebrows, but can't bring myself to pluck them because I am insanely lazy! I've also been messing around with the different face washes. I still love the deep cleansing cream from target, but I've also been switching between that and the Cetaphil gentle cleanser because I've heard great things about that too. I am really not that big on skincare because I think that it is so complicated and confusing and that might be why my skin isn't better!

Well that was a kind of rambling and random post, but that's me without makeup! If you are a blogger, I strongly encourage you to do a post without makeup if you feel comfortable because they are seriously one of the most rewarding posts to do. Actually Rebecca from MoreRebe has done a post similar to this that I absolutely love! Also, if  you have any miracle acne scarring products, let me know in the comments because I need it!

Friday, March 7, 2014 Haul!

Hey guys!
So I have a haul for you today! I'm super excited because I got all of these things for "free". I do subscribe to birchbox and every month you can review the products you receive for 10 points. Once you reach 100 points, you get $10 to spend in the birchbox shop! I recently reached 600 points ($60) and they were going to expire soon, so I used them all and this is what I got! If you want to join birchbox, click here to get started!

So the first things I got were more "lifestyle" products! I think that I had like $4 leftover to spend so I got the Kikkerland Mustache Bag Clips! I also found a great code (birchbox always has AMAZING codes!), so I got a Quirky Wrapster for free! It's actually really cool and is amazing for storing earbuds!
So the next products are really cool too! I got the two samples on the right for free too, because when you spend over $35 in the birchbox shop, you can get 2 samples for free! Mines are Hello by Harvey Prince and Benetint! I also bought the Jouer Bronzer in Sunswept because I heard great things about it and I really want to try more jouer products! It's a little lighter than I expected, but I'll test it out and do a review on it soon!
These next two products are a tad bit gimmicky, but I thought they were super cute! They are the Zodiac Nail Kits by Color Club and are essentially nail sets based on your zodiac sign. I am a Leo, so I bought the Leo one (on top). My birthstone is peridot, so the nail polish is green and the stones included look like periodt! One of my other horoscope obsessed friends is a Gemini (bottom). The birthstone for gemini are pearls, so hers includes a really pearly white color with faux pearl stones!
Lastly I got a kit from Smashbox! It's the Try It Kit! I'm super excited for this because I have tried literally no smashbox products before and I really want to test out some of their products! Also, I thought this was a great deal because you get a wide variety for a low price!

So that was my haul! I hope you enjoyed this haul and I totally recommend shopping on birchbox when you get a chance because they always have fabulous coupon/freebie codes and their shipping is free! Let me know if you've tried any of the products I got and what you'd like a review on! I'm totally going to review the zodiac nail kits and the bronzer, but if you want anything else, let me know!

My Everyday Makeup

Hi guys!
So this is a super quick post on my everyday makeup! I have literally worn this makeup every school day for the past 2 months or so and it's embarrassingly easy to do! Here it is!

So I haven't been wearing a liquid foundation anymore because I'm taking a glass blowing class this semester and after 1-2 hours in front of a furnace, it looks a little nasty. If I'm going to wear anything it'll be a little concealer and powder, but most days I go au natural.

I always fill in my brows. Then I go with a random champagne or bronze or brown shade with shimmer and brush it over the lid. It's really random and the colors I use don't particularly matter much, although I've been using Woodwinked by MAC a lot lately. Then I go over the edges with a fluffy brush to blend, put a matte cream shade under the brows and apply liner to the upper lashline. I usually go for a liquid liner on the days I have glass blowing because it stays better, but on the other days I go with a pencil. I've been loving using a navy pencil liner! I finish with 1 coat of my Covergirl Flamed Out Waterproof mascara.

I go with a clear lip balm most days, but if I'm going to wear anything, it'll be a tinted lip balm like the baby lips!

So that was my everyday makeup! It is so simple that I feel like it's sort of a no brainer, but I love seeing other people's everyday makeup, so hopefully you guys liked this post! Let me know if you have any post suggestions in the comments below!

February 2014 Birchbox

Hi guys!
So first off, I am so sorry for not getting this post up yesterday! I was super busy and I didn't have anything pre-written so I didn't get a chance to post something. Today's post is going to be on my February 2014 birchbox! I know it's march already and I am so behind on this, but I thought that some of you might still want to see what I got.

The first thing I got was a perfume sample of Couture La La by Juicy Couture. I haven't ever smelt this one and I am actually really happy that I got this because I really like Juicy Couture perfumes and I am interested in how this smells!

Next is a really weird product! It's from 32 and it's a breath treatment. I read some reviews and I guess it's sort of like breath freshening pop rocks. I got two packets. One in a Honey Mint flavor and another in a Peppermint flavor!

I also got a Dr. Brandt Pores No More Primer. I am really pleased with the sample size because it's pretty big for a sample of a primer! I already tried this once and I really enjoyed it! I'll review it soon!

Next is a Ruby Wing color changing nail polish! Its a really cool concept because its supposed to change color in the sun! I know companies have been doing this for years (Del Sol anyone?), but I'm still excited to try this!

Lastly I got a hair oil! Beauty Protector Protect and Oil. I also tried this one out already and I really like it! It's a thicker oil if that makes sense, so it doesn't feel too runny, but at the same time is really nourishing!

So that's what I got from my birchbox! Let me know what you got in your february birchbox if you subscribe, and also let me know what beauty subscription services you use (like ipsy or julep).

My Favorite Spring Nail Polishes (#2014BloggerChallenge)

I have post 5 of the #2014BloggerChallenge here for you today! The topic was "nails" so I decided to do a post on my favorite spring nail polishes! I separated the colors into two categories representing the two trends that I think will be big this spring! So let's get started!

Trend 1: Fancy Pastels!

This is kind of a broad category, but whatever. I think that pastels that are slightly different are going to be king this spring! The first shade that I picked out was from Color Club and it's the shade London Calling. It is a bright almost neon mint green. It is so different from anything else that I've tried and it's wonderful! The next shade is Color Club Pardon my French. It's a very pink toned purple and its also quite bright for a pastel. Maybe not so "neon", but I do consider this to be very vibrant without being too dark. The last shade is from The Face Shop and it's Lemon Candy Yogurt. This one is "fancy" in a different way because it's a pastel with lots of confetti and glitter in it!

Trend 2: Metallics!
So the picks in this one are a little darker than what I would normally consider for spring, but I think that the finish of these polishes are going to be super "in" this season! My first one is Color Club Disco Nap. It's a true gold with a metallic finish. I think this color is so universal and can be worn any season! The next shade is a little dark for spring, but I love it so much! It's Color Club Dark'n Stormy. It's a steel gray with a gorgeous metallic finish! The last one is another favorite! It's a deeper purple with silver sparkle that makes the finish stunning! It's from Claire's and it's the shade Homecoming Queen.
