Clinique Teddy Bear, Buttered Bronze, and Chocolate Chip Review

Hey everyone!
I have a lot of those clinique eyeshadows that come in little palettes as gifts with purchases. I don't think that this particular trio is sold as is, but all of the shades are available in other palettes and some as single eyeshadows.

The packaging of this is a white plastic palette with "Clinique" painted on the front.
If you open it, it comes with a dual ended sponge tip/brush applicator and a mirror.

Teddy Bear
This is a matte cream shade. It has fantastic color pay off and a really nice, buttery texture. It is a little light, so it will look good as a highlighter on medium to deeper skin tones and as a all over lid shade on lighter skin tones. Be aware that this can look powdery if applied too heavily.

Buttered Bronze
This is the middle shade. It is a medium bronze shade with a little bit of shimmer. It has decent color pay off, but it has a slightly gritty texture, possibly because of the shimmer? But it is a very beautiful color and will look great on blue eyed gals!

Chocolate Chip
This is a matte deep brown shade. It has okay color payoff, but you might want to use a stickier base because it can fade away into nothingness very easily. It has the same wonderful texture as Teddy Bear, but won't look powdery like Teddy Bear can.

If you'd like to purchase these shadows, chocolate chip is available in "stay matte", buttered bronze as a single or in a duo, and teddy bear as a single or in a quad. Overall, these are great shadows, but I would go for the mattes over the shimmery shades because the mattes have the same color payoff, but better texture. Let me know your thoughts on the clinique eyeshadows in the comments below!

  1. They look great, these will make a great smokey eye! :D

  2. Yeah! I love that you can use it for a smokey or natural look!
