4th of July Makeup Idea

Hey everyone!
I know that tons of beauty gurus have been putting out 4th of july makeup and outfit ideas for the last few weeks, but being the procrastinator that I am, I didn't get a chance to do it until today. This makeup look is very casual, but with the red lips is a little vamped up. If you wanted to go even more casual, swap out the red lips for a pink or nude.

Face: I didn't do anything for my face. If you wanted to do foundation, go for it! But don't do any noticeable blush (stick with a tan or brown) and don't do any heavy contouring (a little is fine). You don't want your face taking too much attention away from the eyes and lips!

Eyes: I used my skylark snowkissed cashmere palette for all the shadows in this look. I already did a review on that palette, which I'll link here if you'd like to see it. I primed my eyelids using a white base and then I took "blitzen" a light champagne gold shade with a lot of shimmer and patted that all over the lid. Then I took "nutmeg" a light taupe shimmer and applied that to the outer crease and outer portion of the lid. Then I took the cranberry shade "ember" and applied that right where my crease is. Make sure to blend this shade well because it can look a little funny if over applied. Then I took the navy shade, "shiver" and applied that to my lower lashline as my "blue". You could also go with a brighter blue for an even brighter pop of color! I used a navy liner as well. I took MAC fluidline in "waveline" and smudged it out so its a little more smokey. I used covergirl lashblast volume, but use any mascara (or falsies) that you'd like.

Lips: I used my mirenesse jumbo lip pencil in 02 flirty kiss. Its a red shade that is bright and vibrant. I reviewed this as well and I'll link it here. You can use any red you'd like or even a nude if you want the eyes to stand out more!

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look and if you decide to try it out, please leave it as a link in the comments below and don't forget to follow this blog for more tutorials!

    1. I think that red lips go so well with the 4th of july! What shade are you going to wear?
