Makeup of the day: pop of purple

Hey guys!
So I know my last few posts have been videos, but I decided to do a normal blog post for a change! So this is a look that I wore to school the other day that incorporates some neutrals with a bright pop of purple!

Face: I didn't wear any foundation or concealer, but if you wanted to, you could. I have on a nice light pinky peachy blush (pretty peach by covergirl).

Eyes: The shadows I used were primarily neutral so I applied a medium shimmery brown color all over the lid with a flat shader brush and then used a fluffier dome shaped brush to blend around the edges. The shadow I used was the left crease shade in the wet n wild "comfort zone" palette. As a browbone highlight I used my MAC "brulee" eyeshadow, which is a matte cream color, but if you wanted to, you could also use a color with shimmer. For my upper liner I used a black liquid liner and did a thin line. For my lower liner I used Urban decay 24/7 glide on pencil in "ransom", which is a purple color with some shimmer and iridescence. I applied this to the outer half of the lower lashline and smudged it out with a q-tip (cotton bud). I then took the same liner and traced around my inner tearduct. This gives the bright pop of purple in the look. Then I took a pink tinged purple shadow and applied that over the liner to set it and make it look more vibrant. To finish the eyes I did 2 coats of my model co fibre lashextend mascara.

Lips: I finished this look off with a nude gloss. The one I used was shimmery, but you could do a nude lip or a pink lip with this too. I would stay away from red lips, or orange/coral shades because that might draw too much attention away from the eyes. The lipgloss I used was model co's "strip tease"

So I hope you liked this makeup look! Let me know what you think of it in the comments along with any requests and also subscribe to my blog!
