Green Smokey Eye

Hey everyone!
So in this months issue of seventeen, there is a beauty section on makeup from around the world. I decided to take some inspiration from India and put my spin on it. In the magazine its called "sultry gaze" and it is a really heavy smoky eye with a gold lid. I decided to experiment with my new "comfort zone" palette. For a review of the palette click here. In my look I used a olive lid with a charcoal, brown crease and outer V. If you want to know how to get it, keep reading.

To start I primed my lid with a laura mercier eye primer. I took the crease color from the left side of the "comfort zone" palette, which is a shimmery medium brown and applied that to the inner third and outer third of the eye. Then I took the lid color from the right side of the palette (a shimmery olive green color) and applied that to the center of the lid and blended it in with the brown. If you use the same palette as me, pack on the green! The green in the palette is a bit sheer, so apply lots so you get an intense color. Then I took that same medium brown color and ran it through the crease. I took the crease color from the right side of the palette (a deep brown/black with gold shimmer) and used that to deepen the outer V. I also ran that through the outer half of the crease. Then I took the define shade from the right side of the palette (a deep brown/black with red shimmer) and applied that right on the diagonal angling up from the lashline to the brow. It gives a cat eye effect to the eye. Last, but not least, I took the define shade from the left side of the palette (a blue/burgundy duochrome) and applied that right above my crease to warm up the eye. I also used the browbone highlight shade from the right side of the palette (a shimmery champagne) to highlight my eyes. I also ran the dark brown/black with red shimmer shadow under my eye. I lined my upper lashline first with jordana eyeliner in "endless black" I then ran over that with jordana eyeliner in "timeless green" I thought this helped to intensify the green color on the eye. I applied clinique high impact mascara on my lashes, but I think that you could use falsies if you wanted to.
I did a neutral lip and no face products, but if you want to add a blush, add a neutral, bronzy blush or just a tad bit of bronzer.

Let me know what you think of my look in the comments and subscribe!
